FHS changes, Students un-impressed.
By Josée B.
Fredericton High School makes changes that affect student schedules.
FHS has added a 25 minute long advisory period to their schedules as a replacement of homeroom.
Grade 12 student Shannen H. said “Homeroom is kinda a waste of time.” She believes that most students don’t do any work in homeroom, they just sit and talk.
Even students who aren’t graduating believe advisory is a time waster. Some students believe that it should be longer, otherwise you can’t get anything done.
Grade 11 student Victoria M. said that she didn’t really care about advisory either way.
“I believe that study hall or advisory or whatever you wanna call it should be at least 45 minutes because we don’t get enough time to actually be able to do anything.” Said Victoria M.
