The 1995 Finals was the finals of the 1994-1995 season of the NBA. The Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets were pitted against each other, rockets winning it 4-0.

According to Wikipedia, there was major hyper around these Finals regarding the two teams centers, Shaquille O’Neal of the Magic and Hakeem Olajuwon of the Rockets. This matchup was compared to the epic Bill Russell-Wilt Chamberlain matchup of the 1960s

The rockets were the sixth seed going into the playoffs and become the first ever to win the Finals from that spot. They beat four 50-win teams in a single post-season. This was the second NBA finals sweep in history.

The coaches of the teams are Rudy Tomjanovich (Rockets) and Brian Hill (Magic). Hakeem Olajuwon of the Rockets won the MVP. Players Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Rudy, coach of the rockets said, “Don’t ever underestimate the heart of a champion!” on the floor of the Summit after winning the championship.
